Day 3: 8/29/06

Today we conquered the third largest inland lake in Minnesota, Lake Winnibigoshish.
It conquered us back... You see, no sane person canoes straight across all 10 miles of Lake Winnie, because of huge waves. Hugging the shore makes it more like 15-20 miles. We still hurt.

Top, Joe rings out our bailing towel from water we took crossing the lake. Middle, Ben makes friends with a baby snapper that we named "Minn". Bottom, the sun sets over the western shore of Winnie. Victory is sweet!
