Rest Day: 10/31/06

While Ben gets targeted (accurately) by pesky pigeons above, Joe tries to decide how to spend the next 24hrs in the great city of St. Louis.



Kay, our gracious host, entrusted us with her car for the day to tour as much of the city as we could pack in. It's a scary experience to go from 5mph on the river to 60mph on the city interstate, but we handled it well after the initial shock. Thanks Kay!



The first stop was the (free!) St. Louis Science Center which had great displays of natural history as well as an excellent IMAX film selection. The Mississippian Period was dominated by diverse sealife in a vast ocean that covered the region.



Our next stop on the whirlwind tour was the Anheiser-Busch Plant. Mark the Clydesdale takes a break from his strenuous day of eating hay and sitting in a warm stable to eat hay and sit in a warm stable. Go Mark!
